You can install a DVD player from the homebrew market after rooting it if I'm not mistaken

wow wii can play dvds i have lots of dvd and my dvd player was stolen last week
glad they didn't take the Wii ;-)
there must be a reason why they didn't take the Wii
jamespoo - just check the homebrew channel - there are several media players in there
If you search for one of the best for wii you could like Zoeck said use Wiimc, i used it like a year it is pretty nice on the wii :-) i would recomend this
