Hi (newbie alert)

I'm trying to run XBMC (12.2-3 64bit fedora) under Qubes-OS R2Beta2 (current)

(this is Xen based desktop OS for multiple security isolated VMs based on Fedora 18)

I have installed OK, but on startup it crashes out after a momentary black screen

Starting from the command line gives

> /usr/lib64/xbmc/xbmc-xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output
> default
> Running DIL (3.22.0) Version
> DtsDeviceOpen: Opening HW in mode 0

Inquiring with Qubes-OS forums, it may have to do with "xrandr".

Qubes-OS uses a dummy driver in the VM's Xorg, which doesn't support xrandr extension.

Is a way to disable it, or other workaround possible ?

Thx

you need proper openGL support, so if xrandr already poses a problem its unlikely xbmc will run there.
