Hi,

i get the message "initializing skin" everytime i start xbmc. This is Skin and XBMC version independent.
I tried some Gotham Nihtlies and the Frodo 12.2 Final.
I tried to complete uninstall XBMC and to delete the Profile folder.
I tried almost all skins in the official repository.

As i understood, the process of initializing a skin, is setting strings in guisettings.xml
So i checked for changes in guisettings.xml on startup and closing of xbmc. The file is written everytime.

Any ideas?

edit:

I'm on Windows 8 btw.
Not sure, but a debug log (wiki) might give hints. Be sure to enable debugging and restart XBMC, so the log file has startup info when it does all the skin magic.
ok thank you, here it is http://pastebin.com/D6HPKBGN
Just sounds like the skin is running some scripts before displaying the home screen.

What's the actual problem?
I had some problems recently, and i thought they might be related to this thing.
But i resolved them.

Thank you for your help.

Greetings
