Now we need a ticket to fix Jenkins? Think I changed to the nightly channel on Linux and using oct 16th build. No new build do show in software update so far.

ticket for Jenkins. Why?
linux is only test compiled there and nothing more. it never gets uploaded

ignore my buildbot ramblings. xbmc ubuntu nightly is updating as expected now.

concerning the shutdown-issue: there's a workaround until this is finally actually fixed:

* go to System > Settings > Add-Ons > Enabled Add-Ons > Services > XBMC Version Check
* Set that add-on to "Disabled"

You'll get a final hang just for the beauty of it, but after that xbmc will shut down fine.
