I am wondering where I can find information on when you have scheduled downtime on your servers?
I understand POSIX timed out error happens when there is an error connecting to your servers.
Everything seems hunkydory this end iro internet connection.

And what is the correct section for Apple TV 2 iOS?

Unfortunately, I was not aware of that as I am not trying to install XBMC on multiple platforms at the moment - just ATV2!
When I typed
http://mirrors.xbmc.org into browser, the ATV2 folders are not there but all the others seem to be hence it was my understanding that this was ATV2 related only.
Now resolved itself!

To answer the question, we don't normally have scheduled downtime. When we do have to take something down we'll typically give advanced warning on the blog,
http://xbmc.org , and the facebook (
http://facebook.com/xbmc ) and twitter feeds (
http://twitter.com/xbmc ) are updated when unexpected outages happen that take down the whole site.
As far as mirrors.xbmc.org going down recently, there doesn't seem to be any signs of that having happened. *shrug*
