Hi to all,
I've an HTPC with Win 7 32bit + Frodo + Aeon Nox.
My HTPC mount an i7 processor + Nvidia Geforce GT630.
My display is FULL HD.

I've tried to play some 4K and UHD files like "Sentinel".
The CPU usage is low (10%) ... but I've to many dropped frames! Sad

So my question is:
Is Frodo optimized to play files of this type?
or it's only an hardware-drivers limitation?

may thanks for every kind of feedback.
Try gotham maybe it performs better

Hi Martijn,
thank you for your feedback.
You write to me this because you think that my hardware must have no problems with 4K file reproduction??
Is it right?

You suggest Gotham because this new release have better solution for this kind of files?

many thanks
Any improvements in playback, detecting if something should be software or hardware decoded, anything really, is going to be in the latest development builds.

Under Frodo the only thing I can think to suggest is try turning off hardware video acceleration (XBMC -> Settings -> Videos -> Video Playback) to force the CPU to try to handle it.
