Hello,

I am an absolute noob when it comes to sorting these things out, I have tried to find a thread that will resolve my problem and I have searched for a sollution on other sites but to no avail. Maybe someone can help me?

This is the kit I orded:
•Raspberry Pi (Model B Rev. 2.0 512MB)
•Cyntech (incl. SD protector) of ModMyPi case
•TP-LINK TL-WN823N wireless usb connector
•2 m HDMI 1.4 kabel (CEC-compatible)
•MicroUSB adapter (5V/1.2A)
•OpenELEC 3.1 (XBMC 12.2 Frodo)preinstalled on a Transcend 4GB Class 10 SD card

The problem is when I try and connect the wireless internet it wont connect, with wire is no problem.

What I have done is go to Netwerk: put the wireless connention ON. Put the cable connection OFF.
Then I go one down to wireless connections, this is preinstalled: wlan0, with the correct name for my network, then my only option is to insert my password. When I do it tries to connect but it fails, reporting a network error.

The proxy http connection is also off.
The thetered wireless connection is also off.

I dont know why it wont connect, other devices are provided with internet.
You found a solution ?
I've got the same problem, same wifi adapter...

Hope to hear from you !
I think maybe the MicroUSB adapter does not provide enough power. You should try a 2.0A instead of 1.2A
Well...I hope you guys don't use Frodo as it isn't supported anymore
TP-WN823N works out of the box with kodi-helix (14.2) and a 2.0A usb power source and openelec destribution.
Set your wifi preferences in the open elec tab of kodi.

Havn't been able to get the tethering Wifi link working (AP mode).
Has someone achieved this already?
