So my apple tv doesnt have an hard drive and i've been running crystalbuntu 1 off the usb. How can I do the same with 2.0?

I've used the python script to install it on the usb and then i plug it into the atv and after it does it's thing i get an apple tv with a question mark.

I try to edit the com.boot.apple.plist file in /media/Recovery but the folder is empty.


Any ideas?

It should work. I ran mine off of the USB stick for a long time before eventually doing an HDD install. I even reformatted the internal drive at one point, so it might as well have not been there, and thus been similar to your situation of not having one at all.

Have you poked around the crystalbuntu.com forums? Maybe it's a recent issue that happened after a minor system update, or maybe a file on a server that is used for installation is missing.
