Hi everybody,

I been a happy XBMC user for a while now, but one annoyance seems to keep recurring. One core being @ 100% load when the system is idle. top shows that XBMC is the perpetrator (which makes sense, since basically nothing else is installed on the box Tongue)

Now, I initially solved this problem by disabling the RSS feed. Which works when I'm using the confluence skin. However, if I change to any other skin, one of my cores goes straight up to 100% again.

Currently, I am on Xbmc 12.2.
You may want to make sure you haven't overridden your dirty region settings:

Hello, thanks for your reply Smile No, unfortunately this isn't the case. What I find terribly weird about this, is that its only a issue when using skins other than confluence Big Grin
i thought so too... at one point.
but that was just me going to the System Info page, not sure why this page causes the CPU to peak out...Huh

are you running debugging? to get this information?
I would do that to get a TRUE sense of CPU Load.
gpu driver is probably busy waiting, without the rss feed there is no dirty regions so nothing is drawn thus driver doesnt spin.

try flipping the vsync setting.
