Ive been having a lot of problems with my Apple TV 2 currently (as per my other thread). Im trying to get it working again and keeping it on version 4.1.1 (I have my blobs saved from before).

So then I thought I might just try using the latest version 5.3. Now im aware its only a tethered jailbreak, I can live with that I guess if it means it will work. But my question is, I remember awhile back that it said to NOT upgrade because it reduces the RAM / processing power available to XBMC.

But now im trying to look for that information and I cant find it anywhere, so maybe its been sorted? After all this time I think maybe XBMC is built to be better on newer ios builds? So I was wondering if there is any benefit in going with 5.3 instead of trying to get 4.1.1 working again.
Thanks
Did you check your other thread? I provided a test build for you to test on 4.1.1 (4.2.1).

edit: sorry mixed up threads. I mean this build:
