Hi,

I'm currently using the latest release of XBMCbuntu for nvidia, version 12.2 and would like to patch the kernel to add IMQ support for iptables.

I downloaded the kernel source from apt-get (3.5.0-40-generic is the current kernel for the time being and used it's .config file from the /boot folder) and was able to patch the kernel. After booting into the new kernel, I got an error message from XMBC saying that there were no compatible OpenGL drivers available.

I assume that xbmcbuntu uses a custom kernel to add nvidia support to it, is there a way I can get a source from that kernel and patch it to add IMQ support to it?

Thank you
no it doesn't use a custom kernel. Just reinstall the nvidia drivers after you install your new kernel.

Thank you, I'll try that
