I have to XBMC setups in my house. Both are wired ethernet. One is an ATV2 and it runs fairly well, video is smooth and it rarely has to buffer. My other setup is an android tv box with and A9 processor and twice the ram. The device is rooted and I have stripped the system down to only run XBMC.
The issue I am seeing is that that the Android system loads videos extremely slow into the buffer. It seems to take a minute of buffering to load a minute of video. Its not always this slow, but more often than not.
I can switch to my ATV2 and watch the same video from the same servers without the lag.
I searched but could not find any similar threads. Does anyone have an idea what is going on here?
