Hi everyone,
I have a windows 8 PC in my kitchen (using microsoft accounts for users) and a Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition running XBMC (Frodo I think) in my living room. I rarely use DVDs so there's no DVD player anymore in the living room. Can I access the DVD drive of the W8 machine over the network somehow? So far UPnP has allowed sharing of media files on the W8 hard drive but not the DVD drive. SMB doesn't want to let me sign in with my usual password from XBMC.
I tried searching the forum but people seemed to be asking about previous generations of windows that didn't use MS accounts. Also, I wasn't too sure where to put this thread as it relates to both W8 and Android, hope it's ok in general.
Any ideas?
