Hello,
I am trying to make a connection to my Synology NAS diskStation from outside my home network witm XBMC
This is what I do, can you please validate my steps?
My normal interface access to the diskstation has an address like : 87.xxx.xxx.xxx:5000
So when I go to XBMC I do the following :
Add Videos...
Add video Source
Browse
Add network location
Protocol: WebDAV Server (HTTP)
Server Address: 87.xxx.xxx.xxx
Remote Path: empty, not sure what to enter
Port: I replace 80 with 5000
Username: Same username I use to access diskstation from a browser
Password: Same password I use to access diskstation from a browser
I assign a name to the new network location
At this point the new network location shows in the list but when I click in it it's empty
Somewhere I did something wrong
Could you offer any help?
