Hi there,

I have had a bit of trouble with my XBMC set up recently after I made some changes to the audio settings as per this thread here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=146911&page=51

I was hoping I could get someone to look at my error log for me as I am a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff.

My Set Up
Intel NUC
HDMI to Samsung receiver
HDMI to Samsung TV
Frodo - Aeon Nox

Problem
When I try to play a file from the movie menu the little circle comes up XBMC either thinks for ages then crashes or just stops trying to play the file. I can play files from the movie-latest menu not a problem. I tried to play a file that I watch through the 'latest' menu from the 'movie' menu and this is the log from that:- http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=67995

I thought it was a audio setting problem as that's what has changed recently however I am not sure.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
The file may be at fault - look at around line 2099 onwards - probing fails.

Try a proper version of xbmc too. 12.1 git - yeuch.
I have played the file with no problems only just not through that menu option.

Maybe going to a different version of Frodo might help. I'll have a look at that today if i get a chance.
So I upgraded to 12.2. Same issue. I'm going remove the movie library then add it again. See if that helps.

If it happens again, I'll put up another debugging log. I'll also try with a different file.
So I uninstalled XBMC, deleted my profile then reinstalled Frodo 12.2.

After finishing setting it all up it will files will play but after a really long long time. For example, I played a file that I had played before and it opened straight away, and it took over 5 minutes to open now.

Any ideas?
Alright. I've fixed it! After continuing to troll the forums I came across this thread - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=150307

The last comment says the fix is to turn off "Extract thumbnails and video information" in System -> Settings -> Video -> File Lists

Boom. All good. Every file so far has played in the movie menu within seconds. I don't know why it wasn't the same for the TV Shows. Either way with a bit of luck my set up is all good now.
