@ajames48 - i am unsure what you did to fix it ... but can you revert it and see if this build also fixes your crash? That would be a big help because nobody of us can reproduce the crash but it was reported a second time here:

Please test this build:

Unfortunately, XBMC has basically become unusable for me. It crashes almost every time I try to play a .mkv file... I've tried 12.2, 12.3 the 13 betas, a whole bunch of nightly builds, the fixes in this thread, disabling hardware decoding... I'm desperate and begging for help...
Here's the most recent crash log... http://pastebin.com/vPRuzwkL
I use a 2012 Mac Mini and OS X 10.9.2. My sound card is a Metric Halo 2882 and my display is a 27" Thunderbolt display... if that makes any difference whatsoever?

Howdy, y'all. I've read much of this thread and have a similar issue, in that XBMC is unstable for me under Mavericks, 10.9.2. In fact, it was working for a bit, but I believe that switching between Window and Full-Screen mode is what has caused it to crash every time it runs now. I believe it did not like being windowed.
Error report posted: http://pastebin.com/YGVVadmu
I've updated to 14 alpha 1 as suggested in this thread, also to 12.3, and checked last night's daily build.. No luck. I've removed the user folder as well in ~/Library/Application Support.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You have configured XBMC for using "iMic USB audio system" . The driver of that soundcard is broken and reports only "0hz" as supported sample rate. Your crash will be fixed in Gotham beta3 which should be out in a couple of days.

Thank you! You all are the best! I've been using XBMC since Xbox1 and greatly appreciate your work!
Thanks!
Unfortunately for me, this is what I get when I unplug the iMic USB and run XBMC 14.0 alpha.

Ahhh nice - now you hit another issue which was reported by only 2 other users. Both didn't respond to my test build. Please continue here:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=187355 and try the testbuild there and report back if it fixes that crash.

Please try to change the setting in osx Settings->Displays->Resolution (try "scaled" or "best for display" and see if it makes a difference to that crash).
Also in addition please try this test build and post a new debug log (wiki) (it won't fix the crash - but adds a printout in the log file which is important to me).

It was already on Best for Display. I changed it to Scaled and nothing appears to have changed.

Thanks! Looking forward to hearing back from you. Be well!

Can you please attach your guisettings.xml file to be found in your userdata (wiki) folder

Search for "<width>616192</width>" in that file and replace it with somthing sane - e.x. 1200 or so - save the file and start again. Any idea how this strange window width was generated?
