First Let me apologize for being a total newbie at this.

So here is a little background I recently picked up an appletv 1st gen 160hd at a garage sale for 10.00 A TOTAL SCORE
After playing around with it I decided to buy a jailbreak stick which allows me to run xbmc without truly jail breaking the apple tv

I have had this set up for about 3 weeks and I can say I love xbmc

I would love to have a unit in our basement My question is should I purchase another appletv 1st or should I install xbmc on an hp slimline with 1tb and windows 7 that I have just sitting around

anybody have any thoughts

Both should work, and free (what you already have laying around) is always awesome.

Though I should mention, you can actually make a "Jailbreak stick" (which is just a boot drive) for the ATV1 yourself using OpenELEC (wiki) or Crystalbuntu (wiki).

Also be sure to check out the BCHD (wiki) chip.
