Hi,

Today I was trying to watch an episode of Modern Family when I cam across a problem and I was hoping someone can help me. This is my first post here so I apologize if I am breaking any rules. I read the "How to post" thread before posting. Anyways, if I am making any mistakes please be patient with me.

Platform: Mac Mini 2012
OS: Mavericks
XBMC version: Frodo 12.2 with the tweak for Mavericks

log file: http://pastebin.com/7WwpaKJe

problem: http://postimg.org/image/r500jcrl5/

file name: Modern.Family.S05E06.720p.HDTV.ReEnc-DeeJayAhmed.mkv

I thought it might be a problem with XBMC and that it is not fully compatible with Mavericks but I ran the file on Plex and same result. But the file plays fine on VLC.

Thank you very much and sorry for bothering.
Frodo 12.2 is not compatible with Mavericks. Take a look at this thread- http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=176500
I have seen that thread, where do you think I got the patched version from? I don't think it is a Mavericks problem. I'm guessing it is a codec problem.
Did you have this problem before updating to Mavericks? It really looks like the video tearing discussed in the other thread.
I didn't have the file before. I have the earlier episodes of the season working fine on XBMC.
any idea anyone?
I believe it's a known issue. For now try turning hardware decoding off.
