I have been running this system for a while with no issue. But tonight i tried to watch the Dark Knight Rises,Dead man Down and Oblivion and all three times i failed to play. It would Start and then stop after 20 sec before going to a black screen. All three movies were heavy MKV files.
I am not very familiar with linux, so you

I just stick to windows
go with a different system or
Build something that is much more powerful and able to serve this purpose

Maybe post a debug log (wiki) if you are having an issue.

I run ATV1 and "heavy" mkv files and have not ran into this issue you are reporting.

ATV1 does not run windows anyway.

yes,i am aware of this . I mean build a system that runs on windows instead.
