Hi there !!

My satelite receiver splits the recordings into:

vid.trp
vid.001
vid.002
vid.003
aso.

added .trp .002 .003 into advancedsettings.xml and its now shown in vid section
.001 should work on default but isnt shown.
if i add 001 in as.xml too this doesnt help.

How can i add .001 files into vid section !?

In Filemanager the .001 is shown and plays correct.

Need help please.

RaspBMC 12.2
I read in an older thread that 001 is asociated with zip.
Maybe in newer versions now hide from vid section because of 001 is an zip file.
No ideas !?
I found this: http://www.ehow.com/how_7193840_join-avi-001-file.html

Can't vouch for it because I haven't done it, but it's something. Smile

Also this: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1428347 (Strong TRP video to DVD - how to)
I haven't read the links, but I'd suspect that these can simply be concatenated/joined together as they're streams - so there's no real opportunity for clever what's-coming-up compression (for example).

Try it... on Windows, copy /b fileA+fileB target, on Linux, cat fileA fileB >> target.

Where you might trip over is the file extension, which would be how the file is "wrapped". AVI would be a good guess, but it might choke some applications if you get it wrong. Some judicious use of mediainfo and similar on the initial files might give you a clue.
Make 1 big file isnt option for me. Cause i cant play then with the sat receiver. Only chance for now is rename 001 part in 008 or whatever. It must be a bug that 001 isnt shown.

Easy was to make 1 big file iss to use free program doublecommander. After i got 1 big file i use projectx to cut the commercials.

But i want xbmc to play without any changing of the source file cause i cant play them on sat receiver after changing. Takes lot of time too to cut and merge
