I having a hard time upgrading to 12.04. I've done the following sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get install xbmc. I've removed xbmc and reinstalled it but when I do lsb_release -a it still says oneiric.

sudo do-release-upgrade

How did I forget that. It worked. Thanks wsnipex!!!

Well it did upgraded but it still says I'm on oneiric when I do lsb_release -a. I don't know what is going on.

did it run through completely? this will take quite a while and you obviously need to reboot after.
