hi all now im up and running its great hope this is the right place to ask this , i get the movies easy enough but when putting to the tv via laptop im losing pic quality my screen is 50in is there a easy fix or is it the screen size

How is the laptop connected to the TV? HDMI? Or Is it connected to your amp via hdmi then output to your TV via HDMI?
Have you got a picture? What are you trying to play?
hi my laptop is connected to the tv with a vga box as my hdmi port has stopped working , its a lg 50in la620v 3d smart tv i have been watching movies when i go to live sports its great ,regards len
I don't know for sure, but that vga box might be your problem. Your sending an analog signal that's getting upscaled and stretched onto your 50in tv, probably wont look pretty.
ok thanks , will have to put up with it, as getting my hdmi port fixed is to expensive
When you say your HDMI port has 'stopped working' - what do you mean?
Only asking as it's a real shame to use VGA for a 50" television
