I was under the impression that the recent Alpha 9 release included ffmpeg 1.2. This version was supposed to have Opus codec support. Is there anything I must do within the advancedsettings.xml to enable Opus support? Currently, Opus fails to play within an MKV container. Is there a container limitation? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Does the ffmpeg version we have support OPUS?
Opus support needs ffmeg to be compiled with specific flags to enable compilation of the relevant libraries, but this is not done for the xbmc version of ffmpeg hence it will be missing opus support. This is taken from
