Hi,
I'm searching a RC6 receveir to use with my Harmony 650 on XBMC Windows 7 and Openelec.

If i'm right, there are 2 mce receiver type:

-RC6 which can receive both real RC6 codes and simulate shortcut, and which can wake up my pc from S3.
-NO RC6 which can only receive simulate shortcut and can't wake up pc from S3.

Isn't it ?

Is it an real RC6 receiver ? Cause i'm surprised by its low price.

It looks like the ones I have except mine are made in the Philippines and the part number is different. $10 for the receiver only sounds about right, as I remember the receiver/remote combo was about $20

RC6 receivers and remotes do not have to be very expensive at all.

I received it, it works well with XBMC windows and openelec, it is a real RC6 receiver and i can wake up my pc from suspend.

Hi,

After some days of use, there are some issues with this receiver:

1-Its led is blinking when it is exposed at direct sunlight.

2-

Under windows, if i use eventghost (with mce vista plugin) AND harmony remote, i have some corrupted ir code.

If i use my original mce receiver OR mce remote, all work fine.

So, i use this cheap receiver only with openelec and i use my original one on windows.(If you don't use eventghost, all seems to works fine.)
