Very recently got into cord cutting.
But I am all in

I have 4 roku devices in the house
I have Plex on my roku's as well.

from my limited experience plex on the Roku is just not as robust as XBMC.

| downloaded the XMBC App for android awhile back and was wondering could I stream to my Roku from my phone

I know certain apps use twonky beam for this but it does not seem to be an option with the XBMC APP.

Is this even possible or is it something currently planned, etc?

I used the search function , saw some similar posts but nothing regarding phones, tablets apps , etc.

Any news about what? Did you check the wiki link I provided?

I have found that the new ROKU Media Player channel is compatible with XBMC upnp, and navigates the libraries quite nicely. I am using a 2XS. I can now play my mkv movies of my network storage! No PLEX required. Music as well.
