I am looking for a solution to preset a certain Channel Group (other than AllChannel-Group) when you start xbmc.
Is there a way possibly also via the skin?

I had the same problem, where I wanted to see a subset of channels by default in my "Main" group versus the "All channels"
group. I found a fix:
1. Go to Settings/ PVR & Live TV/ General and select Group Management (you should be in "Expert" mode).
2. In the Group Management page, select the "All channels" group in 2nd column.
3. In "Visible TV channels" column on far right, click on each channel in turn that you don't want visible, adding to the
"Hidden TV channels" column on left. Do this until the channels in the Visible column match those in your desired preset Group.
These will now be shown as Kodi's default All channel group in the Guide.
Hope this helps.
Organize all your channels in groups and hide the"All channels" group from within the group management should be another way to achieve what you want. If you use TVH it's possible to set a sort order for your channel groups (tags).
