As far as I understand, it is possible to have XBMC display videos (or other media) from an rss feed on the home screen. I've been trying to figure out how to do that but haven't been able so far, I'd appreciate pointers on how to actually make it work.

You can escape out of a playing video and it will appear to play on the home screen.
