I have recently built XBMC 12.2 on two different Linux boxes, one running Slackware 14 and the other running Slackware 14.1. Everything is fine in the first one. In the second one, however, the XBMC pointer is missing. When launching XBMC I see the pointer (the big arrow) for a couple of seconds, but it then disappears to never come back. It still seems to be there, for if I move the mouse and happen to click when the now invisible pointer is over some menu things happen.

For all I know, both builds are the same. Any idea what to look for, be it in the XBMC configuration or that of my X server?
