I am having great difficulty in getting the Menu button to work correctly. The one you use to get to the 'add to favourites' or 'Settings' menu!
I found the button which does this on my old MCE remote which works great. However I have tried one of the cheap ones that come bundled with a RPi and can't find it . Plus it doesn't work on the official APP when you hold it down (all the time)

Any ideas?

Do you have a make/model number, link to a product page or photo of this remote? It's difficult for anyone to offer advice on an unspecified device.

As for the official remote app, are you referring to the iOS or Android version?

You can find remotes compatible with those under the name RC6

search ebay or any other site for rc6 ir -canon, like this <click here>
(You do not want the canon ones because they are totally different but share the same name)
