Full Version: [Solved] Detecting change of music library

Hi,
I'm caching the music library locally on a remote control app.
Is there a way to detect that the music library has changed since the last time I cached it, such that I can automatically update it? It does not have to be 100% reliable since the user can trigger the update manually.
For example, can I get the total number of tracks without getting all the tracks themselves?
Thanks for you help,
Markus
You can use the "limits" parameter and set it to 1 song. It will return the first song as well as the total amount of songs available.

If the number does not match the library was modified. However if you removed 10 songs and added 10 new then it is not detected
Awesome, thanks!
I implemented it this way, works fine. Thanks again.
