Full Version: optimum folder name/filename for imdb scraper

Hi,

I currently find the correct imdb ID for each movie in my collection and incorporate that ID into the folder name i.e.

Quote:\\Server\Movies\MovieName (Year) [imdb=tt0123456]\MovieName (Year).mkv

My question is: will the imdb scraper always find the right movie with this naming convention or should I change it somehow so the imdb scraper will get the right movie 100% of the time?

Does the imdb ID need to be in the filename and/or the folder name or will the above give the correct results all the time?

Many thanks for your input

regards

Shaolin
I haven't seen anything regarding this naming convention. I don't think it's supported in xbmc, but the id number is probably just ignored by the scraper. This should work ok for most videos (my guess). There might be a few that the scraper has a problem with and you would need to include a url within an NFO file (wiki).
