Hi,

I recently bought and Raspberry Pi (my first one) and i don't have to much experience with it.

I installed xbmc on a memory card and everything is ok so far.

I would like to ask you if is possible to do 2 things and if you are kind to give me some advices regarding tools/software that i need to accomplish this:

I have 2 different geographical location:

Location A:

- ESXi server (Dell PowerEdge R410)
- TV Tunner
- LAN: 192.168.10.0

Location B:

- Raspberry Pi
- HD Projector
- LAN 192.168.0.0

Now, what i want:

1)
Is there any way to stream from location A from the tv tunner in order to watch Live TV in Location B with my xbmc/rpi and projector?
(let's assume that the vpn is in place between the 2 locations)

2)
Is there any way that i can watch those free internet online tv that we usually watch with soap cast?

What other software or tool do i need in order to accomplish these 2 things?

I must mention that in Location B, where the xbmc/rpi is, i don't want to use any computer/laptop. Only the RPi and the projector.

Thanks in advance,
N
sure, if you have network access(ie can ping) your server in Location A, then its no problem.
Since you said, "assume the vpn is in place", it should just work.

ad 1) you need a PVR backend on the server and the appropriate pvr client on the Rpi.
ad 2) no support for piracy addons on this forum
3. bandwidth will be an issue
