Hello,

I have been using apple TV 1 with xbmc ver 11 Eden. I didn't plan to update until some of my favorite add-on doesn't work anymore. I plan to use OpenElec to upgrade my box but was hesitated when wiki recommend to upgrade WiFi card as well as crystal HD card. Do these hardware upgrade really necessary/required or are they optional? Thanks.

It's optional, but it really boosts video decoding performance on HD content.
