I have an MS-tech 1200 HTPC case which includes a remote. The remote seems to emulate a keyboard and most of it works fine.
Only the red / green / yellow / blue keys do not seem to generate keypress events, also in showkey they are not visible.
Anyone experience with this remote ?
I am using it with Windows 8 with the standard Microshoft HID driver.
Hi everyone.
I'm new here, but if anyone have a answer to the question of witje, I will also be very interested. I have exactly the same problem (nothing in showkey...).
Thanks in advance !
Thanks baijuxavior. I already tried Eventghost (with this tuto :
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=46595)... But when I tap one of these buttons (red, blue, yellow or green), nothing happen. Your tuto seems to be a little bit different, so I will try ! Thanks
But, in any case, I'm note sure that it will work mainly because nothing is detected with Showkey.
I am not sure if your remote control is rc6 compatible mce remote. If it is mce compatible then the device manager will list it as ehome device driver. The guide I posted is for non mce remotes like the one shown in the image.
Hello baijuxavior.
The remote control of the MS-tech 1200 HTPC case is not listed as ehome device driver in the device manager. So, I suppose it is a non mce remote.
I didn't try your method yet, but it is planned for the next days ! Hope it will work !
