Hi,

I was thinking in developing an OS X app like ViMediaManager but using the JSON RPC instead of generating NFO files. Editing movie details through the API seems easy but I'm not really sure if it's possible to add details to movie files which have not been successfully identified by the xbmc scraper.

Anyone know if this is possible?

That's currently not possible. You can only modify files/items that already are in the library.

oh, what a pity Sad

I really liked the idea of setting movie details to unidentified files through the api so it would give us the chance of build a better library manager.

Now that I know it's not possible I'll add the feature request prefix to the post. Hope to have this API feature someday.
