I'm running XBMC 12.3 on Mac OSX 10.9, and all of my movies are on an external hard drive mounted to my desktop running linux.
On my Mac XBMC I added an SSH source using the login/password to a linux user account that owns the share, and when I updated the library it found all of the media there and populated the library appropriately. The problem is that when I try to play anything, it times out and says that the media could not be played. Any idea what might be going wrong?
I suppose that can try a different form of file sharing, but since SFTP was in the list and I already had an SSH server set up I thought I'd give it a try.
