Hi,

like some of the others my XBMC keeps crashing.
I used the latest nightlies on Amazon Kindle (Cyanogenmod 11) without issues.
Now I moved to a Nexus 7 2013 with 4.4.2 (custom kernel), ART enginge and XBMC just keeps crashing. Other apps and players run fine, MX Player and Archos with hardware accleration.

First I tried the restored nightly version 20140101 from the kindle, it just crashed on start.
Then I tried latest nightly (new install) and some of the other nightlies back until 20131118.
All have the same issue. The first crash I get when I try to install any of the video addons.
Interesting fact, it updates the built in addons after first start without issues.

The nightly plays local and smb full hd mp4 videos without an issue.

I've uploaded a logcat with xbmc debug included: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=111062

Another log, now I've got installed two video addons, started one, it crashed and now keeps crashing at xbmc start (shows the xbmc home screen 1 second). Log about the crash at start: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=111069 After I removed the plugins from the addon folder xbmc works.

Another log trying to install Youtube addon. It depends on "scripts.common.plugin.cache". XBMC just crashes right after it installed this. And keeps crashing on start. Log about install + crash and crash on start: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=111073
Thanks for the logcat's. Make it soooo much easier to debug.

XBMC crashes big time in Python on your device, which I never saw anywhere else.
Could you re-try with Dalvik to see if it makes a difference (it shouldn't, but...)?
Which kernel are you using?
Yes, I'll try Dalvik.
The kernel I used is "Glitch" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthre...?t=2449919.
I use another today (there is so many Smile, so I'll try that too.
If Dalvik with custom is crashing too, I'll try stock kernel.

And I'll check if I have ART activated on the Kindle, perhaps I have the same issue there with ART.
It works fine now with the other kernel. No other changes.
New kernel is "faux" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthre...?t=2390173

Sorry that I've bothered you, without trying this simple thing first. :/
