i haven't been able to use the pm3 skin from the xbmc cvs since about dec'05. i download xbmc from cvs and compile it but need to replace the v1.99 pm3 skin with a v1.3 one from a dec'05 build. with the current skin i only get the background image, all text and icons seem to be compressed into the top right of the picture.

i know the skin code is being updated, but can someone confirm that the pm3 cvs skin is currently broken or, more likely, am i doing something wrong.

p.s. no errors in logs and all skin fonts and textures seem to be present.

you're certainly doing something wrong.

most likely you are running an old xbe.

remember the one on c: that you use when you run as dash.

rebuilt from a clean cvs checkout as opposed to update and all seems to work now.
