This is so unbelievably frustrating.

My setup:

XBMCbuntu client:
Intel NUC
4GB RAM
30 GB SSD

PVR Server:
Windows Dell
Core 2 Duo
4GB RAM

Client is running latest xbmcbuntu.

On my PVR "server" I just did a clean install of NextPVR, got all channels and EPG set up and they play perfectly in the NextPVR application.

I used the default settings for NextPVR client connection: port 8866, pin 0000 and I checked "Allow Remote Access".

I enabled the NextPVR addon in XBMCbuntu, enabled Live TV in settings, and all the channels and EPG were scanned by XBMC.

I select a channel and switch to it, and XBMCbuntu crashes. XBMC restarts and I'm back to the main menu.

I also have XBMC 12.3 installed on the server to test. I launch a live channel, and it just loads endlessly. I close XBMC and I reopen NextPVR, and now it can't play live channels. I restart the NPVR recording service, and we're back to square one. This is ridiculous.

Any ideas?

Logs are below:
xbmc.log from XBMCbuntu: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=120920

xbmc.log from XBMC 12.3 on same Windows box as NextPVR: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=121064
Nobody?
Obviously XBMC shouldn't be crashing, but the first log crashes right after the addon says "Tuner no longer available", have you investigated that? Same thing with the log from your Windows machine.
Yes, at this point it seems like it's the same problem with both copies of XBMC. Is it possible it's a problem with the decoders in NextPVR? I'm not sure where to start investigating.
I'd say the real issue is with NextPVR but naturally something is also wrong with the addon code since it's crashing. Can you watch TV directly with NextPVR?
Yes everything works in NextPVR. I think what I'll try tonight is wiping the hard drive on the server and starting from scratch there.
If you can't make NextPVR work perhaps you could try a different backend before resorting to reinstalling everything. Personally I stay away from NextPVR after having a nightmare trying to set it up for a friend.
I had everything working flawlessly last week, and then it just randomly stopped working once I tried to hook up the new NUC with XBMCbuntu.

I might try a Linux distro with MythTV, but I'm worried as I don't have any experience with either. I'll try a few more things tonight and report back if I discover anything.
