I have tried to update to the latest version 1123 and when serverwmc starts I get input folder does not exist Unrecoverable error - ServerWMC will terminate!.

This is on win 7 x64 I have uninstalled this version and went back to 1118 and that one works.

Thanks
Post a ServerWMC log to pastebin?

One of the things that changed there is that the "TempXBMC" folder in the Recorded TV path has been renamed/replaced with "TempSWMC". It sounds like perhaps something has happened with your setup and this new folder isnt created/renamed correctly...
It is working now the log helped. It says that L:\recorded tv is not shared so I have as a quick test removed that share plus there was another recorded tv folder so I think there was a confusion there with the shares. I will add them back again after work and try to fix the share permission issue.

Thank you

Hmm I dont think that L drive thing was the problem though, thats just a warning that any recordings in that additional watched directory (via WMC library) will not be viewable on remote clients since its not a shared path but a local (L drive) one. So that wouldnt have been what was crashing things.

Anyway if its working now I think it probably was the TempXBMC -> TempSWMC change in 1123 and it might have just taken those couple of attempts/restarts to get that all happy. Glad its working!
There could easily be bugs in the new checking of shared status, so let us know if you have problems there when you get back to it.
I've the same error... Sad

Although the log you pasted doesnt show any problems (it could be happening in the UI before it gets a chance to log anything), this is confirmed as a bug and a fix is in for the next release. Most likely the recorded TV folder or an additional watched folder (in WMC TV library settings) is not available or does not exist. The next version will just warn about this rather than raising an exception (which causes the app to terminate). You could either remove the watched folder (or check if it exists and create it), or roll back to previous version, until the new release
This is a known problem. Its an error with some checking I put in at start up (i.e. my bad). It will be fixed in the next rev that will be out hopefully soon. In the meantime you can either run the old version or make sure that you don't have watched folders that are either non-existent or offline.
I fixed this problem by installing first 1.1.18 and after this 1.1.23...

This should communicated to users they try to install 1.1.23 as first version.
