Estuary does not show any "next aired" date as well.
by opening the addon from the list, it shows the days of the next week with 0s beside them, meaning no show pops up in the week.
how to test that data fetching from thetvdb is working properly? is there any version of this addon that relies on themoviedb, instead?

Not that I know of. I never seen it used with themoviedb.

Choose "TMDb TV Shows" as your information provider on your folder with series.
Run Update Library in order to scrap your series.
In the settings of "TV Shows Next Aired" addon run the action **Reset all data** and update the TV information now.
Be patient. It might run quite long time.
I have library of around 250 series it it took around 1h40m.

are these the dependencies in your system python, pip list, etc?

Debug-enabled log should show the sys.path the addon is started with.

I highly doubt this is the issue -- in any case, the system is a raspios bookworm on a pi4.
is there anything I should pay attention to? should I debug the python script myself?
it's going to be tough to make my system match the pip packages of another user's...

Give it some time. It makes more sense to update "TV Show Next Aired" after there is a version 21 Omega release rather than current betas or release candidates.
We will see!
I lost hope, how about you?

This addon works with KODI version Nexus, it does not work with KODI version Omega.

As a docker instance or directly in your OS?
What is your device? What OS?
I have CoreELEC on Odroid-N2... maybe later I will try this Sonarr but if you do have an experience then please share steps how did you make it working for you.

I have good news for you "TV Show - Next Aired" also works with Kodi Omega!
Since a change has been made to the standard date format in Kodi Omega, a small change in the Kodi settings is required.
The addon should then work again.
What needs to be changed in the Kodi settings:
- go to kodi => settings => interface
- activate setting level "expert"
- go to "Long date format" and change the default format
- I use the format "(DDDD,DD MMMM YYYY)"
If you change the language, you will need to restart Kodi!
But now the addon should work again.
Not all formats in the "Long date format" list work, but test and write which formats work for you.
