I'm debating which NUCs to get for XBMC. What is your suggestions? Right now I'm thinking the Celeron 847 one because it has Ethernet and DDR3 even though the RED I3 NUC is only $10more. I like the Haswell NUCs since it has IR but the DDR3L is a letdown since I already have a bunch of DDR3. I can add IR to the NUC for ~$15. What's your suggestion -- XBMC only w/ confluence skin running 1080p videos w/ no 3D and cheapest possible? Maybe even the new Celeron NUC but again I would have to buy new RAM(ridiculous price nowadays I paid $65 2yrs ago for 16GB and it's like $150 now).
Another line of thought is wait for the new Celeron J1900 itx boards($60) w/ Antec ISK 110 case($70) or M350 Enclosure with PicoPSU-80($69). Passive quad core cpu, a little cheaper but much bigger than NUC but quieter since no fans.
