Hi all, i just would like to ask what xbmc build would you recommend for the android tv box called cs968. I have tried the february 20, 2013 nightly build but for some reason some video addons are incompatible. I also tried Ouya built but 1080p movies still lag. If you can help me that would be great!

Which addons are incompatible
The CS968 uses the RK3188T chip, which runs 1080p video pretty well on some of the latest gotham builds (I am assuming its connected by hardwire and playing video though local network or at least from an attached to an external usb drive).
Whether you have the best ROM for the device is another matter, check Freaktab forums for more info.
I had the same issue on a k-r42 which was a rk3188 chip. What I found to be the fix was disable mediacodec in the system-video-playback area. leave libstagefright enabled and everything ran perfect for me.

well, mine works fine, so beg to differ.
yes mine works just fine also. You may have issues if you leave the mediacodec enabled but if you disable that everything works fine. Very fast and has no issues.
I just gave up on the nightlies and found this custom version of XBMC called "justXBMCv4" which actually lets it play 1080p without it lagging.

addons are built for xbmc not xbmc built for addons.
Its the addons that need to be fixed not xbmc
i have found some rk3188 anrk3066 chip boxes wont play 1080p and others play some 1080p but not everything and others do a great job.
Also like the minix boxes have a version of XBMC that works well because they work with the team to build a version for the chipset in their boxes.
Beyond xbmc is another one but its a processor heavy theme. Have not tried justxbmc
my rk 3188 also lags sometimes in xbmc at 1080, but with the default android video player it plays the file well.
