Yes, if you don't need suspend/resume.

If you would bother to search the thread, you wouldn't need to ask this. It has been answered and confirmed very many times. Same goes for OE on usb stick.
Thank you.

Sorry if it was not searched, but your English to Spanish dictionary,. with google translator makes me incoherent things ................

This is my log. I tried with 2 different movies and I had the same issue in the start of each one
Now my familiarity with the inner workings of XBMC, OpenELEC flavour is limited - but this seems to me to be either a buffer issue or sync issue. Are these files local or remote/network storage? Also - did you try with any Beta2 releases? Beta3 have seen some issues.

I would also suggest - try altering your Vertical blanc sync settings, see if that helps. (System -> Video output) Disable if enabled, or vica verca.

I have this issue with all the builds I have tried, nightly, beta 1, beta 2, beta 3.
All these files are locally stored in a new 2.5 hard drive.

I will try v black sync but as I remember I have tried both options without difference

I'm running OpenELEC beta 3.95.3 on a DN2820FYKH and it plays a little choppy. Remuxed it to an MKV container and it improved a little. VLC seems to hate it no matter what container it is in....
Seems to be step back in terms of stability and function - both recent Gotham beta 3 and OpenELEC releases...

I disabled v black sync but then I have other issue with horizontal lines like liquid. So put it back on ate least not to have this problem which is much more disturbing.
Then I suggest you post a thread in the Support section. It'll get much more attention, and hopefully more help - there. Include description, steps taken and debug logs.

Code:
cat $HOME/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log | pastebinit

This is the "previous" log, after I restarted it, after it hang during suspend.

I've had the same problem for awhile now and I can't seem to get useful debugging info, its frustrating. It will sometimes suspend just fine, other times it just freezes. I think I might just resort to leaving it running 24/7 since its like a buck a month in terms of power use. Very very frustrating problem though and hard to pin down. I've gone a few weeks with it not occurring then all of a sudden it'll happen a few times in a row. Some of the OpenElec devs said it was a kernel bug but if its still happening in 3.14 then I don't wtf is going on.

I have Linux Mint on another partition, it also has the 3.14 kernel, so I can check it if has the suspend bug too.

Edit: I've checked it with my Mint, it has 3.14 RC2 and it does the suspend right, I've succeeded in doing it six times, while my openelec dies after the second or on one occasion third attempt.
Just received my SSD today... I'll try suspend/resume in OE Beta 3 tonight and report back.
I've tried it with an SSD and a thumb drive in OpenElec, it still has the suspend problem. That's good to know that Mint doesn't have the issue with the same kernel, must be an OE problem then. Has anyone succeeded in getting a log of the event? I can't seem to.
