Has anyone an android version of this addon?
Hello,

Updated to Kodi Alpha2 today, and the tvheadend addon wont work for me anymore.

Tried compiling 0.9.2 , it seemed to compile fine, and installed from zip ok.

But when i enable the addon, it tells me "an unknown error has occured, check log for details"

in the log i can find :

Is there a known fix to this?

Compile the latest revision from the master branch and try again.
is this the right branch ?
git clone git://github.com/adamsutton/xbmc-pvr-addons/

when i try to install from zip now, i just get an error saying "upgrade failed"

Paste of my debug log here :

Hello,
I watched TV with the PVR TVH addon in version 0.9.3 in XBMC 14.0-ALPHA4 (nightly build from 1st Sept. 2014) on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit. The HTS TVHeadend backend runs in version 3.9.1353~g99ed831 (cloned from git on 30. August 2014) on a dedicated PC.
Everything TV related seems to work in XBMC (or Kodi) except time shifting. Whatever I try during time shifting (rewind, forward or jump within the time shift), the buffered TV show begins playing from the beginning. Every time I jump within the buffered TV show, I can see a warning in the XBMC log:
WARNING: CDVDMessageQueue(audio)::Get - asked for new data packet, with nothing available
Play TV using hardware acceleration/software decoding does not make any difference.

Playing recorded TV works flawlessly.
I would be happy to do further testing.

Regards
Nuesel
Yeah, no one has managed to nail that bug yet. We don't even know if it's in XBMC or the addon, or tvheadend itself.
maybe reverse thinking will help...

not how it have to be the right way...
maybe it's better to think what have to happen that the error can occure.

at least from my side... thank you for the great tvheadend and all the supporter
Hi guys

i work with 3.4.27~gfbda802~precise and i tried both hts (1.9.7) and tvh (0.4) on xbmc 13.2 windows machine. ( i cannot compile to windows from source.)

when watching recorded show and skipping 30 seconds or 10 minutes the playback is terribly stuck for several seconds.

thanks

Shlomi

UPDATE : with pvr.tvh 0.9.3 - it works !! probably the problems you see are in Tvheadend server (cause my is old)
pvr.tvh 0.9.3 build for Raspberry Pi:
https://blog.adminfactory.net/tvh/pvr.tv...-0.9.3.zip

Note:
It doesn't work if you choose "Install from zip", you have to unzip it in /storage/.xbmc/addons through SSH or other means.
Semi tested on OpenELEC - I configured the plugin and it starts after I reboot, but my TVH backend is currently down so not tested playback yet.

later edit:
Seems to be working better than pvr.hts, meaning it doesn't entirely freeze OpenELEC if there are network disconnects - although I haven't had that many disconnects as my previous test with the default pvr.hts.
Also my server completely collapsed while streaming, I'm guessing a memory crash or whatever - I should probably switch to TVH stable.
Just did a update/upgrade the system, it upgraded from alpha3 to alpha4 xbmc and now tvheadend front isn't working for both this offshoot and the xbmc-pvr-addons stable version.

Tried compiling from scratch, same result, dependencies missing, any ideas?
Tried changing the API version, no joy there either.

Thanks

Sorry already found the compiled file for mac.

Can you point me to the OSX compiled version?

Thanks
Ok -- I am trying to compile this on my Mac (10.9.4). I have Xtools (5.1.1) and homebrew installed, but I cant get bootstrap to run...
Code:
beethoven:xbmc-pvr-addons-master nick$ ./bootstrap
autoreconf: Entering directory `.'
autoreconf: configure.ac: not using Gettext
autoreconf: running: aclocal --force
autoreconf: configure.ac: tracing
autoreconf: configure.ac: not using Libtool
autoreconf: running: /usr/local/Cellar/autoconf/2.69/bin/autoconf --force
configure.ac:15: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_PROG_LIBTOOL
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.
autoreconf: /usr/local/Cellar/autoconf/2.69/bin/autoconf failed with exit status: 1

As ever, if you can tell me what I have done wrong, its very mach appreciated.
The saga continues...

Ok -- I have now managed to compile the addon (and discovered that I needed to compile the gotham branch rather than the master branch as I tried to above -- thanks negge)

However, where I try to use it, XBMC (13.2) lets me install and configure, but when I try to watch TV is states that there is no pvr plugin available. When I exit, XBMC hangs.

Has anyone got this working for Mac?

(works find on my Linux machines)

Nope. It's been the same for me and I have no clue how to fix it.
No channel names and icons. With version pvr.tvh 0.9.4 and the latest tvheadend 3.9.1499~g97999e4 i see only channel IDs but no names and the icons are gone to

Is this a problem of XBMC plugin or tvheadend
