What happens if you build normally, without that --build option? I assume you've beeb compiling on the actual device you want to use the addon on?
Anyone got this working in Helix beta on OS X?
Could someone please help me? http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=208283

I'm dealing with a problem I think it's related to tvh addon.

This addon is not the same as the official one you're using. Can you try this one (the should be a Windows build a few pages back) and report back. If you still ha e issues, enable trace debugging in the addon settings and provide a new log.

Thank you negge, didn't know this. I'll test and report you back.

Same problem, here it is the debug log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=344445
I have been trying out the Kodi Beta 1 release on my system (Linux Mint). I can compile the addon fine, and it works well if I install it from a zip.

I have tried copying the pvr.tvh to /usr/lib/kodi/addons (is this right)? Once I've got it here, how do I enable it (sorry, this is probably a really stupid question)?

N
You don't need to copy any files, installing the ZIP is enough.

Thanks -- but is it possible to install it globally on the system (so each user doesn't need to install from a zip file, and if an update comes out everyone gets it)?
(2014-11-03, 21:40)negge Wrote: [ -> ]I'll have to look into the malformed DVR message, but channel switch times have nothing to do with the addon. If it takes 30 seconds for you then obviously you're having other issues.

True. The issue had been that tuner #1 of the 8 tuner SAT>IP LNB hung, anf tvh would try this tuner first until dicovering failure, and then switch to the next. A reboot of the IPLNB cleared the problem; switching times are back to ~ 3 sec.

I have now played with the pvr.tvh and pvr.hts addons for a while, and I can't find any difference. Why the two versions? Under what circumstances should I select one over the other?

Yes, in that case you move the installed addon from .kodi/addons to /usr/lib/kodi/system/addons (or something like that, I don't remember the exact path).

@ullix: pvr.tvh will replace pvr.hts in time for the next release, if both work for you then you don't need to bother. pvr.tvh has some features that the official version doesn't have, plus it works way better over WLAN or WAN.

@negge

Sorry to bore you again, but have you seen this?

I got image distortion in some HD channels, but only in Kodi, HTTP streaming is ok.

I've made a video of the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c22KacnJIKY

The video shows the problem with kodi playback and the same channel working fine over http streaming.
anyone have pvr.tvh-0.9.5 for gotham linux or is it not available for gotham?

I use an openelec gotham build with support for tbs cards plus use mysql so cant upgrade to kodi just yet.
There should be links to some builds a bit further up in the thread. Make sure you don't use the Helix version.
