Do i need for the PVR add-on a tv tuner or some kind of hardware?
I thought that i could stream it

This is a "front end"for a mythtv server. Without the server this doesn't do anything.

Yes it does, it pops up annoying messages about not being able to connect to the backend LOL.

What do you mean 'streaming'? Where are you expecting to stream from?
