Because I got a Intel Haswell i3 NUC I was advised to run the new Gotham build.
So, I set things up (took ages because ./configure kept whining about missing stuff) and finally doing a make.

At LD xbmc.bin it crashes.
Something about a WebServer and undefined references to MHD_ stuff.

I know it's Alpha, but if anyone could give me a pointer where to look so the build can continue, that would be great!

Quote:LD xbmc.bin

I am running Gentoo Linux, with kernel 3.10.25 (gentoo sources) in x86_64.
please don't post in development.

Sorry about that. Thought I'd post it there since it's not stable yet.
libmicrohttpd dependencies not met. Use the nightly ppa, way easier, no need to build from source.

Make sure to read the Readme.Ubuntu
I thought it had something to do with that. I couldn't find libmicrohttpd (or something similar) in Portage, so I installed microhttpd.
Hoping that would be enough.

edit: I did install libmicrohttpd. Looking into it now.

PPA looks to be Ubuntu only?
Ah you again - I think I met you and your gentoo in another thread :-)
Yes, you did :-)

System has been rebooted, and retrying again.

I did do a ./configure again, and everything looks alright.
Including the Webserver which has a Yes behind it.

make runs right now.
Just to update: the make failed again.
I got Ubuntu on and got Gotham installed now.
Not the Beta yet, still the Alpha version.

I hope Gotham becomes stable soon, so that a ebuild for Gentoo is build quickly.
Not a frequent Linux user, but when I do I've used Gentoo since 2001/2002 and sorta used to it.

Did watch the full Game of Thrones S02 in hi10p on Sunday, and very stable.
Me like!
