I will be on a LAN connection. .just putting Wireless for future plans.

I am not sure what os to run with it.....I need to be able to use a Web browser and add a few apps like pandora as well as stream 1080 from xbmc.

Any suggestions?
Can I have a browser and apps on openelec?
Go with full linux?

I can't go windows

Thank you for the suggestions
Xbmcbuntu or ubuntu could work depending on how much you plan to use desktop types apps.

Xbmcbuntu if you plan to mostly use it as an htpc or ubuntu with xbmc installed of you mostly use desktop apps with occasional xbmc use.
I ended up running XBMCbuntu (ubuntu version 12, i think what ever one is 'quantril', along with Frodo.2) on my NUC celeron. I run the tvheadend back end along with XBMC and it is going great.
Bump
Thank you guys
