Hi,

On Frodo and even on some previous nightbuilds of Gotham, I had an option to disable called Multichannel LPCM capable receiver on Audio Output Menu.

My receiver doesn't support DTS passthru. When I disable the DTS passthru, XBMC fallsback to Multichannel PCM that my receiver supports very badly. On previous releases, if I disable Multichannel LPCM capable receiver, then XBMC would ouput AC3 that works great on my receiver.

Is there another way to disable Multichannel LPCM capable receiver, like an item on advancedsettings.xml?

Thanks
Enable AC3 capable receiver. Disable DTS capable receiver.
Set "number of channels" to 2.0. You will still get multichannel for AC3 passthrough.
That worked!!

After changing the number of channels to 2.0, I had to exit Audio Menu and enter on it again and then a new option was available: "- Enable Dolby Digital transcoding".

Couldn't this option be available independent of the number of channels?

Thanks
